Step 1: Locate Console and Cables
Find your nintendo wii, power cable, HD/SD cable, and sensor bar.
-The power cable is the cord that looks like a gray brick with an attachment for power on one end and a connection to the wii on the other.
-The audio video cable varies depending if you use a HD or SD cable. Both cables have a color code. The SD cable has the red, white, and yellow connections. But, the HD cable has one more set of connections. They are colored red, green, and blue.
-The sensor bar is the long, thin, and rectangular item.

Step 2: Locate Ports on Console
Each cable has its own port. These ports are located on the back of the wii.
Step 3: Plug the HD/SD, Sensor Bar, and Power Cable Into Console
The cables don't really have any specific order in which they are plugged in.
Step 4: Plug the HD/SD Cable Into Tv
The connections on the end of the HD and or SD cable go into the red, white, yellow, green, and blue holes. They are located on the back of the tv.
Step 5: Put the Sensor Bar Above or Below the Tv and Plug Power Cable Into the Wii and a Outlet
Putting the sensor bar above or below the tv doesn't matter. This is your preference to where you want to point the wiimote.
Step 6: Push Power Button.
If properly connected and the correct tv input is selected, once powered on the wii should bring you to the wii menu.
