Painted Plywood Floors

So lets say you buy a house with ruined carpets( my case, dog pee and poop) and you don't want to put new carpets in for a few years. Painting your plywood floors is a cheap alternative. And gets quite the attention . Great for a clumsy person who always spills or kids. Here are my living room, stairs, bedrooms and hallway. Sorry aboot the sideways pictures and low quality pictures. Have fun.

Clean Floor and Prime

I used tsx cleaner to scrub the floor with, rinsed thoroughly, let dry for a couple days. I used KILZ odour and feces blocking primer. Two Coates applied.

Start Taping Your Pattern.

When I started I had no idea what pattern I was goin to make and just rode the wave starting to tape around the room. And with help the long pieces.

Press All Tape Down Hard

Make sure you press all the tape down hard making sure all air bubbles are out, and edges are all down otherwise you'll end up with sketchy lines.

Paint

For the top layer I used high traffic floor paint. Two Coates.

Take Tape Off

Take your tape off with care. If you improperly washed the floor you'll find out now as it will chip

Touch Ups

For my living room I painted blue circles in the intersections with smaller gold circles in the centre
