Painted Ombre Pegboard

I have been dying to do this project and I am excited to share the process of how to make it with you.

It is a simple project and doesn't require much explaining, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Acrylic Paints

Paint Brushes

Pegboard

Painter's Tape

Plastic Cup and Plate

Water

Drop Cloth

Paper towels/cloth to dab paintbrush on

Use Painter's Tape to make a grid, I wanted 7 colors, so I made 7 rows.

I did half of the colors, starting with the lightest color, yellow, then red, purple and blue on the first go around.

After those 4 colors dried, I removed the tape and then placed tape on top of the colors I had just done and then did the last 3 colors the next morning.

Use the full color at the top and slowly add white into the mix, and if needed some water, Paint from side to side and then slowly from top to bottom.

Tip: Don't paint too slow, Acrylic dries fast and if it is hot it will dry too fast before you can blend it in. I needed to paint this in the wee mornings, because if you look at the last picture with the orange, you will see what happens when painting while it is warm outside. This happened when I was trying to make a film with my daughter, I have added the film here, it is a quick video since I realized the paint was drying super fast.

Now the fun part filling it all up with all the pretties!
