I made a 3D printed paint brush holder to keep everything organized.

Supplies

Tinkercad, 3D printer

Making the Base

progress on final .png

First build the base by placing a 1 inch long and 8 inch wide base. then add 4 pillars that are 4 inches tall and 1 3/4 wide. next get another 1 inch long and one inch wide block. Place 1/2-1 inch holes onto the top part. combine the top with the holes.

Placing

Assemble the top to the base pillars to see where you need to make holes for the pillars. Place 4 hallow pillars where the base pillars are. Then connect the new pillar holes to the top part.

Exporting

take the top part off of the base. Make sure both the top and bottom are touching the bottom of the grid (0). Click on both pieces then click export -> .STL -> download. If it is not an .STL it will not work.

Prusa Slicer

Go into prusa slicer, click on file on the top left, click import -> import files -> (the name of the holder)-> import it to the grid. On the bottom left click slice now, once you click that look at the bottom of the grid to see if the base and top are purple, if the bottom is not purple then you will be unable to print it.

Printing the Project

Start the printing project, make sure that it is printing the way you want it to, if the size is different or the wrong file is printing restart.

Assembling Printed Work

Once it is done printing assemble the base to the top. If the top will not go into the pillars on the bottom use super glue and place it right in between where the hole and pillar is.

Finished Product

After the glue is dry. Add your paint brushes and you're done!
