Pailon Del Diablo Waterfall - Scene

Waterfall complete.png

This model was built with the intention of recreating "El Pailon del Diablo" Waterfall for the "Te prometo Ecuador" project, whose goal is to promote Ecuador's touristic places. In this case, I learned how to use Tinkercad to construct a design that resembled El Pailon del Diablo Waterfall. This project took me some time to make because I was still learning how to use the platform, but once I got the hang of it, it was fairly easy.

Supplies

  • An electronic device

Construction of the Mountain Range

Mountains step1.png

For the mountain range, I drew three mountains with the scribble tool that tinkercad offers, and place them at the back of my project board. Then, I aligned them, so that the mountains could cover each other. Finally, to make the mountains more realistic and similar to the touristic place I was recreating, I changed the color from a light blue to a brown.

Construction of the Land Area

For the land area, I used many cubes and reshaped them so that the edges were more rounded, I also adjusted the size of the rocks so it would look more like a mountain. Finally, I changed the color of the cubes from red, to different shades of brown to make it more realistic.

I also added grass at the sides, so it would be more realistic. To build it, I used the terrain shape that the Tinkercad platform provides you, I then selected it, and played a little with the settings of it, until I was satisfied with it. Finally, I change the color of it to a vibrant green

Construction of Both Waterfalls

For both waterfalls, I followed the same set of steps. First, I drew three different types of shapes with the scribble tool, when I was done, I rotated them, to see what side resembled water the most. What I did next, was that I select those four elements that I just built, and copied them, to then paste it in my design. I align them so that some of them were above others. Then, I changed the color of the shapes to different shades of blue, and some of them white.

Finally, with the circle shapes, I did the waterfalls bubbles.

Construction of the River

Final final.png

The final step of my project was the construction of the river.

For the higher river, I used a cube and reshaped it so that it was flat against the ground. Then, I selected that shape, and at the top of it a cone will appear, this would help you elevate it, and put it below the mountain. For the river in between the two waterfalls, I followed the same steps as the higher one.

For the lower river, I drew and filled it with the scribble tool. Then, I reshaped it based on the size, and adjust it so it would fit between the land area that I had previously built.

Once you have completed this step, your Pailón del Diablo Waterfall, is done!
