In this Instructables you will learn how to craft a PVC Fishing Rod Holder. If like me you have too many fishing rods and not enough space to store them this is a good Instructable for you.

Supplies

PVC COMPONENTS:

  • 2 10ft 1/2in PVC pipes
  • 4 1/2in to 1-1/4in PVC Tee
  • 6 1/2in PVC Tee
  • 10 1/2in PVC Elbow

Tools:

  • PVC Pipe Cutter
  • Tape Measure

Step 1: PVC Cutting to Size

Cut Lengths:

  • 1-1/4in X 6
  • 33-3/4in X 2
  • 21-1/2in X 2
  • 5in X 3
  • 6-1/8in X 2
  • 12in X 2
  • 13 in X 4

Use the PVC pipe cutter to cut roughly the same lengths as listed. Just remember this all adds up to 215 inches so with the 240 inches provided by 2 ten foot PVC pipes you can always cut down so it is better to overcut then under. A good method is to take the tape measure and a sharpie to mark off all of your cuts so you can easily split it up after.

(The image provided has all cut lengths of PVC pipes except for the 6 1-1/4in pieces.)

Step 2: Assembling the Base

Connect the adapter 1/2in to 1-1/4in tee to elbow joints with a 1-1/4in piece of PVC pipe. Lastly, attach the 13in piece of PVC pipe to the other end of the elbow joint. Do this four times as shown in the picture above.

Step 4: Piece It All Together

The beauty is the stands simplicity to put together. Lastly, move out of the way and frame with fishing poles.
