PTU-1138 Animation

After the success of the RIC series droid, Serv-O-Droid Inc decided to try their hand at a more industrial cargo hauling bot with medium to difficult terrain in mind. PTU bots can singularly move cargo crates but their true value is when working as a swarm. Each bot stations itself at equal distances around a large object, such as a derelict craft, and lift in unison; each becoming a caster for the relocation of large salvage.

The PTU-1138 is a result of those attempts, however it never saw widespread adoption until enterprising mercenaries recognized it's sturdy frame and versatility and replaced it's cargo arms with pivoting blasters.

With the vast array of droids in the Star Wars universe, it's hard to come up with something that has not been done previously. I like the recent ball type droids like BB-8, but wanted to make something a little more utilitarian and practical. A downside of most ball-type droids is a lack of useful manipulators and ways of conquering obstacles (see: stairs). I envisioned the PTU (Pick Things Up) being able to travel at high speeds and, with at least one free hand, vaulting obstacles.

I intended to add a head and sensors that emerge from the center section after the tire treads split and separate, however ran into the limitation of 20 components. Thank you for consideration.
