Tear off one bag and cut the bottom off

Centre Line Cut

Open out the bag as shown in the picture and cut along the centre line on one side of the bag.

Handles

Cut along the bottom of the handles on the same side as the previous step.

This will make the part of the apron which ties around the neck.

Draw Pattern

Use the measurements shown to draw a template with the ruler and marker pen.

Once one side is complete, fold the bag in half and trace the other side.

Cutting Out

Use the sharp knife and cutting board (I used the kitchen chopping board) to pull the knife around the template.

Cut on the inside edge of the marker pen so that it does not appear on the finished apron.

It's important to have a smooth cut so that when the side handles are pulled tight to tie around the person's waist the handles don't rip. I've included an image here to explain.

Repeat

To save time, use the pattern as a template to make more.

If you have resources like cardboard or plastic sheet then make a more robust template.

Try It Out!

Tie the handles around your neck and tie the other strips around your waist. Et voila!
