PARTY WITH GHOST FAMILY

From my point of view, Halloween is an festival that has a motto of ,"scare others and made party with them".
I created this instructables with these my theme.
And also this ghosts ( floating ghosts ) is an easy to make because of this type of ghosts don't have body and legs.
Let's start the work.

PAPER CLAY

We start up with paper clay preparation,

MATERIALS REQUIRED :
1), paper (old notebook paper),
2), white flour ( maida ),
3), water (required amount).

Papers that we used to make clay here are school old notebooks are enough. Because they are little stronger than toilet papers and less stronger than news papers.

STRENGTH COMPARISON BETWEEN PAPERS;
Toilet papers We make only head to this ghosts, so clay that contained notebook paper is enough.

PROCEDURE:
1) tear notebook papers (don't cut them by using scissors) into small pieces.
2) soak this small pieces in hot water about 3 hours.
3) after 3 hours grind that soaked papers with water by using mixer grinder as soft.
4) then squeeze 85% of water from that grinned paper.
5) add maida flour in that in the quantity of 900 grams to 1 kg of paper.
(Ancient days maida (white flour) used as gluing purpose only).
6) blend with required amount of water these composition very well, those become viscous in hand.
That's over, yet paper clay is ready.

HEAD BASE SELECTION

It's an important step of this work because of we do small moulding process by using this base. So, which base we were selecting, we'll get same like ghosts head .
So, carefully select like ghosts head is a half successful of this project.
Most important thing is, the base should 3 sides closed and 1 side remain open, remember this to all shapes.

BASE HEAD FORMATION

MATERIAL REQUIRED:
1) cardboards,
2) scissors,
3) duct tapes.
After selecting base head, by using cardboards make an close cover on it and also top of the base head,Except one side, by using duct tape.

DRAW BOOGIE EYES AND MOUTH

MATERIAL REQUIRED:
1) pen,
2) coin,
Draw an big boogie eyes and mouth of the ghosts that looks scary.

CUT THEM

MATERIAL REQUIRED;
1) sharp knife,
2) scissors.
Then by using sharp knife or scissors cut that drawn eyes and mouth.

APPLY PAPER CLAY ON HEAD BASE

Don't take away this setup (cardboard with cutted eyes and mouth) from base.
Then cover that paper clay over the card board by using just hand except that cutted eyes and mouth.
Apply like this by 3 sides.

TO GET FINE FINISHING

After completed over covering wrap this setup by using an large plastic cover and slightly rub on top surface of the mould, to do this we can get smooth surface finish on ghosts head.

TO DRY

After applying and finishing is completed over cardboard heat dry this to 60 hours (2 and half days) in direct sunlight.

TAKE AWAY MOULD

After, 2 and half days dry completed, take away that cardboard with paper clay.
It might be strong and lite in weight.

SHOULDERS AND HANDS

Ghosts head is completed now. Next step is doing shoulders and hand, for this I prefer an steel wire.
Take 5 feet length and 5mm Dia of thickness steel wire,
Bend in the both ends like looking hands and middle part what your desired shape of the head.
We connect the middle bended wire with head of Ghost by using thread.

HIDING THREADS

After connecting the wire with head by help oh threads from inside out.
Then excess threads removed by scissors,
And hide that excess threads in top the head by using paper clay and dry this to one day (24 hours) is enough.

REFLECTORS

I use aluminium foil paper as a reflectors that stick inside the head by help of glue.
This reflectors gave a party mood to Ghosts when using party lights.

HOOKS

To hang out these ghosts the hooks are used .
Join 3 feet yarn at top of the ghosts head.
Due to avoid light reflection at night, please use cotton yarn if much better.
This cotton yarn gives an real hanging looks to the ghosts while hanging in home upstairs.

COLOURING ( If Need )

'white colour'is ghosts favourite colour, if need fill outside of the ghosts head.

DRESSING

I think "white"is ghosts favourite colour of dressing.
So I wear to my ghosts as"white"colour and try to differentiate to each one by means of dressing.

FATHER GHOST

I had planned to do three ghosts of Ghost family, father Ghost, mother Ghost and child Ghost and also try to differentiate them by means of dressing.

Father Ghost is an basically an lengthier than other two ghosts, and cut the dress lengthwise make horror effect and scary.

MOTHER GHOST

Mother Ghost is an medium length Ghost, for this also cut the dress lengthwise make horror effect and scary like ghosts.

CHILD GHOST

This Ghost is my favourite Ghost,
And child Ghost is short length Ghost from all of the ghosts, same like other ghosts I do scary look and horror effect on dress.
