💭We were always getting these "floaty Foamy Puffs" in 'things' we (mail)ordered. I would save them in case we needed to send out something that needed cushion; I would inadvertently tip them over and just cause a "pain in the mess" to clean up, they would get everywhere!! - -Then (with the discovery of Styrofoam Disks..) this idea💡popped into my head on how to reuse them.. ~~So, sure enough, by then I had thrown them all away~~ ;D (haha), and had to buy some from my local pack 'n ship store.
WHY, I'M PRATTLING ON ABOUT PACKING PEANUTS!! OF COURSE..
🍥Luckily, they're cheap$, that whole box load was a couple bucks!
('but, you'll SAVE yours for projects like this..;)

🍥Foam Disks are just a drop in the bucket; possibilities are endless- not to mention easy and fun!
🍥Also, those thick, square/rectangle blocks of styrofoam -usually packed, securing electronics come in VERY HANDY, as well - for MANY things**

Supplies

Packing Peanuts
Foam disk(s)
Paint (inexpensive, craft, Acrylic, oil/oil-based or water-colors)
Miscellaneous / various beads, feathers, pins, trinkets
Miscellaneous / various Tools/supplies: toothpics, foam block *OR* foam cup, skewers, Exacto knife, scissors, Glue / Hot glue, etc.

The Foam Disk & Nuts 🌺

🍥 Determine the number of peanuts you may need *some may need to be cut to size*
🍥 Place them around the disk (dry run) to get your design in mind and an idea of how many nuts you may need
🎨 Then You're Ready To Start Painting..

Painting the Materials 🎨🌺

🎨Paint the foam disk (one side, let sit to dry -you can hold it with a skewer or toothpick(s); paint the other side
🎨Paint the peanuts (you may need more as you go, for spot filling or breakage~no problem~!)
⚫ Poke the 'nuts (& the disk) into a foam block *or upside down foam cup to dry
⚫Let them sit to dry; start with a half hour, check on them ~you want them dry enough to handle

Forming & Placing 🌺Setting the Poinsettia🌺

🌺 (Once dry) Glue on your peanuts per (your) design;
🌺 For this poinsettia, I worked in a circular pattern, from the outer edge(s) to the center ~ inward, gluing the painted petals as you go around;
🌺 Placing the second row (in) & subsequent p'nuts in a "3D" stance / pattern
🌺 Fill the center and outer gaps with pieces cut to size; this may require additional peanuts & painting
•(you can also use pins / tacks; which can be used for color/decorative options)•
🌺Then, Optional "Flower Buds & Stems" to follow..

Finishing Touches, the "Flower Buds & Stems"

🌺 a Hanging Ribbon was secured at the top with decorative Beads and Pins
