P0LY is a scrappy little droid designed to be a pirate's companion. She specializes in spotting treachery and double-crosses and is just small enough to sit on your shoulder and watch your back. If things go sideways and a deal goes wrong, P0LY is pretty good in a fight too. On long space hauls, P0LY can be a quirky companion, and someone funny to talk with. If you need someone to keep your secrets, or remember your passwords - you won't find a better droid than this. All around, this is a great companion for anyone operating at the fringes of the Empire.

About the Design

My idea was to design a little droid that was the Star Wars equivalent of the parrot sitting on a pirate's shoulder. I knew it should live in the bounty-hunter design aesthetic, and therefore it uses mismatching colors, and a slightly beat-up appearance. I wanted the droid to feel scrappy and quirky, but also a little intimidating, so I referenced styles from IG 11, Boba Fett, and Imperial probe droids in the shapes and aesthetics.

I imagined the Gamorrean skull symbol as an indication of clan-loyalty and an intimidation tactic to display. (I drew the skull and placed it as a decal in the design).
