Oversized Crossbow

in this instructable I will show you how to make a crossbow from PVC, a 2X4, some paracord and miscellaneous tools. we made two different types of crossbows so on steps or materials that have a ~ between them it means one or he other.
lets get started.
Materials and Tools

Materials and Tools
a 2X4 either 6 or 8 feet
2 1X2s as long as the 2X4 ~ a router w/ bits
a piece of 3/4" PVC the same length as the 2X4
paracord the length of the PVC
wood screws
1 or 2 3/4" pipe clamps
Tools
miter saw
drill
Track on the 2X4

use router to make a groove in the 2X4 for you projectiles to fit into.~ use the 1X2s and screw them into the sides of the 2X4 for your projectiles to fit into.
The Arms

drill a hole big enough for the paracord to fit in the ends of the PVC. then, using the pipe clamp, fasten the PVC to the end of the 2X4.
Bowstring

tie the paracord to the PVC through the holes and pull the paracord tight enough to slightly bend the PVC. now testy the string to make sure it is strong.
(optional) Stand

use a small scrap 2X4, cut it at a 45 degree angle and screw to the 2X4
Your Done

you have now finished your very own oversized crossbow. I may post a video of operation later
