Origami X-wing

We have all been subject to the epic Starwars Saga, and so I bring forth unto you the folded paper design of the X-wing. This is for more intermediate members of the origami community, as I would think an amateur would not understand the process(es).

Probably the most annoying base out there, if not complicated. The Frog Base fits into the X-wing's formula perfectly. If you have no idea what language I am speaking, please follow along.

Make the preliminary base. If you don't know what this is, chances are you are a n00b. I'll still do a walkthrough, though. Fold your paper across horizontally and vertically, then flip it over and make creases for the diagonals. Flip this back over and fold it squarely in half, and fold one of the top corners to the center. Repeat this function in the back. Take the longest corners and squish them against each other, flattening themselves and making a diamond.

From the preliminary base, fold one top edge to the center and unfold it. Take the flap to the middle and squish it down flat -- the picture should do a better job explaining this (a picture's worth a thousand words, right?). Repeat this on the other three sides.

Fold the shortest edges (Located at the bottom of the paper) in to the center crease, then fold down the top corner to the bottom corner. Unfold this and perform a petal fold. Reach in the flap and pull it up as far as it will go, to do this technique. Repeat all this on the other three sides (This is why it's annoying!).

Inside reverse fold the legs of the Frog Base, making them stick out to the sides. Do this on ALL of the legs. The triangular flaps in the front must come down, leaving only one unfolded to be the cockpit. Fold over the first flap on either of the edges so that the leg you folded swings out flat. Fold the insides to the center crease and refold the flap back in position, taking care to keep the leg put out again. Repeat this (You guessed it) on the other three sides.

Fold the legs upward, making them flat. Fold the now flat legs' edges to their center creases, then refold them to their original positions with this surgery. Do this on the other side.

Outside reverse fold, or crimp the legs/wings, and your X-wing is finished! Now you can relive those moments of the movie, set up a tribute, or model your action scenes with this scrawny piece of paper. This is something you can truly enjoy.
