Origami Trap

Hi everyone,

Today I'm going to teach you how to make an origami finger trap.

You could read the steps below or watch the video.

1. A square piece of paper, workpiece size 4,5cm * 4,5cm (if you don't want a finger trap you can also get any square piece size paper)

2. Scissor

First you fold it diagonally in half. (hold the top left corner and place it on top of the bottom right corner, do the same thing but on the opposite side)

Then fold it in half horizontally and vertically shown in the picture.

Now you will have to fold it into diamond base. Diamond base is (An origami base that involves folding in succession two pairs of adjacent edges to a diagonal of a square).

Now fold the two sides into the middle shown in the picture, and flip it on the other side and do the same thing.

Now you unfold the whole thing. Then cut all the sides in the middle. Cut to the point where the two lines meet.( basically just cut the paper a little less than half way from the middle on all four sides)

Then flip it over to the other side and fold in all the sides into the middle shown in the picture.

Finally, flip it over again to the other side and fold all four points halfway to the middle. Then bend all the corners on all sides it should look like the last picture. If you still don't fully understand how to make the origami finger trap you can watch the video instead.
