From the Pokemon Solrock to the Golden Sun title design, suns have been used in many aspects of games and life. Based on username252's Origami Wayfinder , I used the basis of the shards he made and experimented with them. I changed the number of points to eight and that I made a different design by placing in several more pieces together.

Materials

- 8 square (origami) papers
- scissors

Start with one piece of paper and fold it diagonally in half. Along that fold cut it using scissors. You should now have two triangle pieces. Fold each one in half, then fold the corners along the center. Fold the tips to the back, then hide them in the flaps. Following username252's model, fold the corners along the center and fold the edges again from the back.

After making at least two shards, unfold one of them and place the other shard into it and refold the other shard. Make eight of these by repeating steps 2 and 3.

With each shard, link them together on the bottom tabs. This is similar to username252's wayfinder. Continue linking them until all eight shards are together.

Finished!
