Origami Plane

First start with a standard white piece of 8 by 11 paper. The folds in this project are simple and balanced. Good folds and strong creases will enhance the quality of your final product.

Fold the Paper Length Wise About an Inch or So. Then Cut the Piece Along the Folded Crease.

You want to be sure that the short side is more than 1/4 the size of the long side.

Fold the Piece in Half and Then Cut Along the Crease Again.

You may discard one of the pieces.

Grab the Top Left Corner and Fold in Down So That It Is Flush With the Right Side. Grab the New Folded Corner and Fold It Down to the Left Side. Rotate the Paper 180 Degrees and Repeat.

Unfold and the Creases Should Look As Shown.

Pinch the Creases So You Can Fold As Shown in the Photos Above. Then Repeat on the Other Side.

Fold the Newly Made Pieces Up on One of the Sides and Fold the Exposed Paper Up to the Middle Crease. Repeat on the Other Side.

Pick One of the Newly Formed Triangles and Fold the Outer Edges Into the Middle Crease.

Fold the Object in Half So the Remaining Triangle Lays on Top of the Newly Formed Diamond Shape From the Last Step.

Fold the Tabs of the Diamond Shape Under the Tabs of the Triangle Shape to Lock in the Fold and Finish the Project!
