Origami Jumping Frog
This is a cute, fun, origami jumping frog that is easy to make and can sometimes do flips when it jumps!
I did not invent this myself, but I just thought it was so cool!
Supplies
You will need a square sheet of printer paper cut in half horizontally or vertically.
Fold the piece of paper in half so it makes a small square. Unfold and fold the left and right bottom corners up so the left and right bottom edges align with the middle line. Unfold and do the same except use the top corners.
Unfold and flip the paper over. Fold the two outer edges to the center. Squeeze/tuck inside the corner creases, making the paper into a diamond shape. Fold the top and bottom points to the side corners, making what looks like four small diamonds placed next to each other, forming a bigger diamond. Fold these points back up only halfway.
Flip it over and fold the bottom corner up so it meets the center. Fold the top left and top right diagonal edges and fold them to the center line. Tuck the corners of these flaps into the pockets of the bottom flap. Fold it in half horizontally and fold the bottom part back up halfway.
Making the Frog Jump!
Watch this video to make the frog jump! If the video is not working, simply press down on the back of the frog and release to watch your frog soar! The faster you do this, the farther your frog will jump!
