This is a an Origami cube. Theres six Sonobe Units that make up and are assembled as the cube. "Traditional Origami" is what this type of Origami is considered.

You'll need:

Make the 6 Sonobe Units

Here is a how to video on how to make the Sonobe unit for the cube. Pictured is the final product of what just one unit looks like as well as a few photos explaining the final folds. I recommend watching the video as the written instructions are hard to completely understand and follow but included is the folds made. And feel free to put the video in a faster time as I fold the unit slowly.
In the video, you'll see the following folds made:
- Fold your paper in half from left to right and unfold. You now have a central crease.
- Fold the left and right edges to the central crease and unfold.
- Fold the top left corner and bottom right corner inwards, aligning with the two previous creases.
- Fold the left and right edges back to the central crease.
- Fold the lower-left section diagonally up to the right along the diagonal flap that is in the right section.
A Better View of the Last Folding Step

For the last few steps:
Tuck the flap you just created underneath the right section just as shown in the photos and video. The collage has a step by step of folding and a bit of a better visual.
Gather All the Units

Have all 6 of your units together and get ready to assemble!
Assemble and Connect All 6 Units Togeather

Here is all of the Units and how they all connect. This is the trickiest step. Watch the video to see how to fold all of the units into each other creating the cube.
Thats It!
