The only material needed for this is square paper. It can be any paper, including the origami paper I used for this instructable.

Before you start to fold your crane, make sure that you have the side of the color you want your's to be facing down on the surface.

For the first step, you have to fold the paper into rectangles and triangles. You have to fold one rectangle, unfold, fold the other rectangle, unfold, and continue the same thing over for the triangles. The order of folding doesn't matter.

Creating a New Square

Second, you have to unfold the rectangles and the triangles you folded, and use the lines you created to make one new small square.

Going One More Step Further

For this step, with your new small square done, you should fold both sides of the square to the line in the middle, as shown in the picture. Then, you fold the top of the square as much as you can to the bottom.

You should do the same thing again turning the paper to the opposite side but leaving the top part.

Folding More

These two links are the videos for this step orderly. You need to fold both the front and the back.

Going Towards the End

After doing the previous step, you need to make the part where the paper splits go down. Then, you will fold the side of the papers to the middle. You'll see the line made on the paper which makes it easier for you to fold it.

Almost the End

The paper will now look a little bit like a crane.
