Origami Box Folding | How to Make Beautiful Origami Box with Paper

Hello friends,

Do you want a beautiful origami box to gift candies on Halloween and Christmas ? here's what happened with me last Halloween

Last Halloween my friend taught me this amazing origami technique to make Candie boxes and the way it is made really surprised me. My friend just took a simple origami sheet stated making some folds and within 3 minutes a beautiful box took shape. I was smitten by its beauty and simplicity so I decided to learn it and I am sharing the technique with you guys too. Be sure to check my friends origami videos, they are really amazing.

Supplies

Origami sheet or any colored sheet of size 20 X 20 cm https://www.amazon.com/MozArt-Supplies-Origami-Pap...

Following the Crease

Divide the sheet in 4 equal parts to get the center crease and fold along the crease to make a smaller square

Folding to Make Triangles and Rectangular Crease

Now fold out triangle outside to make crease as shown in the images, repeat to make the triangles on all the four sides.

Also make an inside fold on each side to make a rectangular crease as shown in the third image and repeat on all the four sides.

The Tricky Part

For This part, make 3 zigzag (fanfold) folds on the two opposite triangle as shown in the pictures, for more detailed explanation please check out the video as this part is tricky. in the end you should have this on the two opposite sides.

Making the Side Crease

Fold along the sides after opening the sheet to make the side crease and then again open. it is now started to take the shape of a box. (somewhat like a box)

Closing in From the Sides

Now we have all the creases, to complete the box we just need to fold in the two sides to make the lid of the box, follow along the creases and push the sides in, the box will automatically take its shape.

You Are Done!
