After not making origami for years, I decided to come back to the wonderful art of paper folding with this short project.

I attached all of the videos for making everything individually since me showing the steps would be way too long (and more unprofessional than you just watching the videos yourself).

In this project, I mostly made origami published by the YouTuber Jo Nakashima.

Supplies

This build requires only origami paper, no cutting, tape, glue, etc.

You can use any sizings you want, but here is what what I used for reference:

  • [For Mountain & Large Dragon] 9.8" x 9.8" (25cm x 25 cm)
  • [For Rest of the Props] 6" x 6" (15cm x 15cm)

Origami Tent

ORIGAMI TENT (Marc Kirschenbaum)

This origami is the easiest one out of all the designs, but since it's simple even beginners would have no trouble with acing it.

Origami Chest

ORIGAMI TREASURE CHEST (Robin Glynn) - Remake

This origami is at an intermediate level, so you need some experience beforehand in order to accomplish it. If you are struggling with this one, a substitute would be a simple treasure box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMRzP1R8ets

Origami Man

Origami Figura Humana (Claudio Acuña J)

This is a low intermediate design, a beginner should be able to do this without too much effort.

Origami Mountain (Mount Fuji)

This origami takes longer to make than the origami man, but it is way simpler and has more clear directions in the video.

Origami Dragons (Smaller Ones)

ORIGAMI DRAGON v3 (Jo Nakashima)

These dragons might look difficult to some, but they are remotely easy since they use the crane base. However, the version 3 dragon is the hardest out of these, so avoid if you have trouble with the first 2 ones.

Origami Darkness Dragon (Large One)

How to make an Origami Darkness Dragon 2.0 (Tadashi Mori)

Okay, this is a COMPLEX design. If you are a beginner, avoid attempting to make this because it will be time-consuming and hard. I was able to make complex origami 2-3 years ago, but even now coming back I struggled with making this. A substitute for this dragon would be the smaller ones I mentioned above, you can use a larger origami paper or cut an a4 to match the size of this one.

Assembly

This is the end! You can organize your scene in any way you like! There are lots of ways to continue this adventure, but I didn't have the right amount of time so this is all I was able to do for now. I would say that placing the dragon on the mountain makes good scenery though!
