Organizers Design Challenge
Problem: Autodesk wants to see you design a product that assists in organization. Examples of this can include desk organizers, silverware/kitchen organizers, innovative wall mounted storage solutions to save space in smaller homes, and so much more.
Ideas That Would Help Assists in Organizations
A table that has multiple drawers that can store knives, forks, spoons, and etc. Plus, you can store napkins and plates on the table. The table would be made of wood and the table would not weigh too much.
Research Ideas and Explore Possibilities
Based on my family experiences, we would usually have to walk all the way back to the kitchen if someone dropped their utensils on the ground. If there was a table where there is a drawer that contains fresh utensils, this would reduce the time to walk back to the kitchen to get utensils.
The Criteria and Constraints
Clarity
Ingenuity
Creativity
Quality of Presentation
Execution of the Instructable
Rough Sketch
This picture is a rough sketch of what my idea would look like. This is just a rough sketch as we would change and fix my design to create the final sketch. Also, this helps improves a person's organization as this would save space as people would be able to put their utensils in the drawers on the side of the table.
Final Sketch
The sketch above is a representation of all the items needed for my idea. The drawers would be the place to store the utensils or plates if needed. The sketch shows the measurements of tables, the legs of the tables, and how big the drawer would be. In the drawer, you can fit forks, spoons, and knives and you can even fit some small plates inside the drawers. Also, the design shows how there are wheels on the drawers which allows the drawer to move back and forth.
Final Sketch of the Idea Created From Fusion
In the first picture, it is a representation of the table and legs created on Autodesk and how the table would look when it is all created. The picture shows the hole where the drawer would insert through. The second picture shows the actual representation of the drawer when it is created on Autodesk.
Refined Design With a Better Sketch
During our test, we found out that when we put the utensils in the drawers, the utensils would mix with each other. In our refined design, we would add removable dividers that would allow people to separate the utensils or put plates in the drawer.
