This project will show you how to organize your desk and some tips to go along with it.

Setting Up Desk.

First, you need to get yourself a desk. You can buy one or use an old one. You can also make one to be how you would like it. Make sure it is clean and ready for the next step.

Organizing Your Tools and Materials

If your desk has drawers, then that is a good place to put tools and materials. The tools and materials that you use the most should be closer to the top. Also, getting a peg board is a great way of putting tools for easy access.

Extra Bits and Pieces

Theses extra parts can either help you with making, or they can be something you like. I would definitely recommend a lamp and a cutting mat to help you with making things. I would also recommend a pencil sharpener unless you will be using mechanical pencils. I added a homemade little book shelf to put my books in.

Keeping It Organized

To keep it organized, you need to always keep it clean. If you come home from a day of work and put all your stuff on the desk, make sure to put it back right away or eventually it can get out of hand. If you buy something, find a good place for it as soon as possible to keep it from cluttering your desk.
