Organization Tricks

Face it, we can all be more organized! Here are some of my tips and tricks to getting organized.

Use Your WHOLE Bookshelf! (if Needed)

If you have too many books, knick-knacks, or small items that would fit in your bookshelf, push your books to the back on a shelf or two and just put small moveable items in front of them. That way it's off the floor and out of the way.

If You Don't Have To, Don't

We all know that with all the homework, office work and junk on our desks, we lose our minds(and desktop). So if you have drawers and filling cabinets use them instead of your precious desk space, or use my bookshelf method. If you don't have to use your desk space, don't!

Storage

For my storage, I don't have anything fancy, but it works! I use a 3-shelf bookshelf, a small desk, and a small 3-drawer cabinet. It works for all my needs. My bookshelf holds books, CDs, and random things. My desk holds basically my office supplies, my laptop, pens+pencils, a desk lamp, and that's about it. My 3 drawer cabinet is like this: Drawer 1. Random things. Drawer 2. Crafting supplies. Drawer 3. binders, folders, clipboards, EXT.
That is my storage routine.

Organizing Your Computer

I know you think this is going a little far, but it's important to have an organized computer. 1. Make folders in every category(pictures, documents, ext.) 2. Delete anything you don't need(old downloaded wallpapers, unnecessary files, letters already printed and sent, Ext.) 3. Keep your internet browser organized. Yes you can make folders for your bookmarks, and make sure you do!

Keep Discs in Their Cases

I know how hard it is to keep your discs in their cases, especially kids. The reason I say that is because I know they like video games and they may leave stacks of games on the television stand or on a desk like what I used to do. GAMERS trust me, its worth the time to have your area clean! An exception is when your on the go and want your games or CDs with you, you can use a disc case that holds like 10 discs. But I wouldn't  recommend using the discs case for all purpose use. Why? Well, I don't know about you but I like to know exactly where everything is. With the discs in their cases, I know where each exact disc is.
