Organization Challenge

I older brother recently purchased a sports car and I realized how his trunk can easily get disorganized and or messed up without proper storage. I looked deeper into the topic and realized that there were very little items to help with that.

In this first step I looked at items that seemed to have low numbers of them made so it would be easier for me. With this example in mind i looked deeper into the organization of cars and what was going with organzation with them. This lead to me finding only one product that helps with sports cars and organization. So i got to work

In this first prototype I didn't extrude or make it a whole object due to me wanting to see all angles and see what i could improve on. I decided that I wanted to make it with indents in the shape to make the doors easily come in and out. This idea flew out the window due to me just wanting to get this prototype down.

The finished product as you can see it completely extruded, has enough space for a divider and can be broken down due to the door being easily removed. Although this looks fairly simple, which I'm not gonna lie the design itself is, but the angles and length of the design isn't. If I didn't get the correct width of the door to the base. the doors wouldn't come out.

I couldn't make of test my design due to low budget, low time, and there's a pandemic. I think it could be a lot better and there is always room for improvements.
