Oreo Cheesecake Balls
Whether you like to eat your Oreos as a cookie, or by separating the cookie from the filling, I have a sweet treat that will satisfy either style. I have created a recipe where you will be able to combine your love for Oreos and creme cheese! For this recipe, we will be making Oreo cheesecake balls, an easy, simple, fast, and delicious snack for all you Oreo lovers.
Supplies
For this delicious recipe, you will need...
Ingredients:
- Oreos
- Cream Cheese
- Dark Chocolate (for decoration)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Utensils:
- Food Processor (easier to crush Oreos)
- Parchment Paper
- Baking Sheets
Place the Oreos inside the food processor and make sure that they crush into a sand-like texture
*Scoop out some of the crumbs and reserve for topping*
Inside the food processor add the cream cheese. Make sure that the Oreos and the cream cheese combine to their finest.
Roll the mixture into one-inch balls (or use a cookie scoop) and place them on your parchment-lined baking sheets.
*TIP: You may find it helpful to chill the dough for a few minutes before rolling.*
After rolling them into balls, place them into the freezer for about 30 to 60 minutes for them to solidify.
While your Oreo balls are in the freezer, melt your chocolate according to the package directions. Allow the chocolate to cool slightly, just so that you don't burn yourself.
Remove the Oreo balls from the freezer (one tray at a time), and place one ball in the melted chocolate. Using a fork, gently stir the ball around to coat, tap to drop the excess chocolate, and place the ball back on the baking sheet.
*Repeat with each Oreo ball.*
Drizzle your Oreo balls with your chocolate and sprinkle with the crumbs that you left aside. Once all the balls are dipped, drizzled, and sprinkled, place the trays back in the freezer for about 15 minutes to set.
Enjoy them!
