Hi! I'm Hazel the Maker girl and I love trifle, so when I saw that some of my mum's orange drizzle cake was spare I had an idea to turn it into a yummy dessert.

So I re-mixed mum's instructable into my own.

Ingredients

Leftover orange cake

orange jelly

custard

cream

a flake

tinned peaches

Note- there are so many different variations for trifle, this is only one option. I also decided to keep it quick and easy with ready made custard and tinned fruit.

No measuring involved, just made it up as I went.

Bottom Layer

Cut up the cake and arrange in a large glass or pyrex bowl.

Make up a packet of jelly according to the instructions.

Fruit Layer

Chop up the tinned peaches and arrange on top of the cake.

Use as many as you like.

Slowly pour on the jelly. (Slowly, so that the cake doesn't crumble)

Leave to set.

Custard Layer

Once the jelly is set add a layer of custard.

If making your own, I would suggest that this is cool before adding.

Final Layer

Whick the cream until thick and spoonable.

Add a layer of the cream on top of the custard, carefully, so as not to mix the cream into the custard.

Sprinkle with chocolate flakes and serve.
