Summer Cupcake
This is a vanilla cupcake with orange vanilla icing. It's a great summer snack! I do not have any pictures of the preparation of the muffins because i had to borrow an ipod to take pictures and i only got it from my friend after the preparation was finished. Anyways, here's the recipe i used. My grand mother taught me how to make these. This recipe SERVES TWO! Yes, only two. You can double or triple the recipe if you'd like more!
One egg white
Two tablespoons of sugar
Two tablespoons of butter, melted
Half a teaspoon of vanilla
One quarter of a cup of flour
One quarter of a teaspoon of baking powder
a pinch of salt
One tablespoon and a half of milk.
Preheat the oven at 350 degrees and the cooking time can varie to about 12 to 15 minutes. Mine took around 17, so you're better off watching them regularly.
To begin, add the egg white and sugar in a bowl and whisk them together. Then, add the butter and vanilla until everything is combined. Add in the flour, baking powder and salt. The last step is to stir in the milk and then divide the batter into two cups equally.
Let it completly cool down before adding the frosting.
For the frosting, i actually make mine without any precise amount of each ingredient. I go with the texture and taste.
You will need:
Frosting sugar
vanilla
butter
milk
Orange colouring
I begin with putting in the butter and half the sugar, then the milk and i add sugar until it looks good. You can then add decorations to the frosting.
Hope you enjoy!
