Here is an easy kid friendly STEM project. Water Buoyancy is the ability or tendency to float in water or air or some other fluid. So today we will do buoyancy and negative buoyancy. So let's get started!

Supplies

Bowl or cup of water (has to be wider than the orange)

Orange

Putting Your Orange In

Get your bowl/glass of water ready. Then plop your orange in. Don't splash!! See how it floats? If it does remember that. It's called buoyancy.

Peeling the Orange

Take your orange out of the water and peel it. After that, drop it in the cup or bowl again. It should sink. This is called negative buoyancy.
