Zesting Time

Take your orange or lemon and start zesting it into a small plate.
For every tablespoon of salt use 1 teaspoon of zest.

Blending Time

Add your zest to your salt in the pestle and mortar.
Start grinding until fine.
Things will start getting sticky, but don't worry it's just the oils in the zest. Follow all the steps and you'll be fine.

Drying Time

Whip out your frying pan.
Heat at max temperature.
Add salt at one time once the pan is hot.
Now shake the pan around until the salt is dry.
This process is really fast so keep an eye on it.
Almost Done

Once everything has cooled down.
Take the salt out of the pan and place back into the pestle and mortar , grind up until fine once more. Remove the salt and store in a water tight container. Enjoy with all sorts of foods and snacks. You can also add a small amount of thyme or even rosemary and substitute plain salt with himalayan salt as I did in this instructable. Hope you like it and please do leave a comment.
