Onion Skillet Bacon Cheeseburgers
Looking for a delicious stacked-up burger? Then you came to the right place! A bacon cheeseburger with onions cooked in bacon grease
Makes 6 Burgers Prep Time 10 minutes Cook time 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 Yellow Onions, cut into slices
- 6 Brioche Buns
- 6 Slices Sharp Cheddar
- 8 Slices Thick-Cut Bacon, cut in half
- 1 cup Bread and Butter Pickles
For the Patty:
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 lb Ground Pork
- 1 bag Garlic Pepper Crispy Onions, crushed
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp Parsley
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Mayo
- 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
- 1/4 cup Pickle Juice
Supplies
- Large Saute Pan or Cast Iron Skillet with lid
- Cutting Board
- Knife
- Paper Towels
- Plate
- Tongs
Fry Up the Bacon
In a large saute pan over medium-high heat, add bacon. Cook until crispy and remove to a paper towel covered plate. Reserve bacon grease.
Get the Onions Going
Add sliced onions to bacon grease and cook for 3 minutes stirring occasionally.
Make the Patties
Add patty ingredients to a mixing bowl and combine. Form into 6 patties. Add to saute pan with onions. Reduce heat to medium. Cover pan and cook for 8 minutes.
Flip each burger and recover for 8 minutes more.
Remove lid and lay a slice of cheese on each burger. Let sit for a minute then remove burgers. Remove onions from heat.
Make the Sauce
Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Build the Burger
Build the burger: smear bun with sauce. Add pickles and bacon. Top with a cheeseburger and cooked onions. Add top bun and enjoy!
