One Pot Cajun Sausage Pasta
I love a good one pot recipe, don’t you? I especially love all things pasta. I’m not sure what it is about the stuff but I could happily live on it! This ridiculously easy Cajun Sausage Pasta is high up there with my all time favourites. Just like my easy sausage casserole– made in just one pot with zero fuss & bags of flavour, this recipe is perfect for people who hate washing up and love great tasting food! So that’s pretty much all of us then right?
Here is what you will need to serve 4.
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 200g Smoked Sausage, Sliced
- 2 Garlic Cloves, Crushed
- 500 ml Chicken Stock
- 300 ml Double Cream
- 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 250g Tortiglioni Pasta *
- 50g Parmesan Cheese, Grated
- Handful of Fresh Parsley, Chopped (Optional)
*You can use any dried pasta shapes you like
Essential Equipment
- Large Saucepan
Cook the Sausage
First heat your large saucepan over a medium heat. When the pan is hot, add the oil and sliced sausage. Cook for a few minutes until it browns a little then add the garlic & cook for another minute or two until fragrant.
Getting Saucy
Then add the stock, cream and cajun seasoning. Give it a good mix and bring it up to the boil.
Turn Up the Heat
Next add in the pasta, give it a quick stir and bring back to the boil again. Reduce the heat to a simmering boil and cook for 15-20 minutes until the pasta is cooked to your liking.
Make sure to stir it frequently, particularly towards the end as you don’t want it to catch and burn on the bottom.
Cheesy
Finally, when the pasta is cooked, add in the parmesan cheese and give it a good old mix until it’s melted and evenly distributed.
Tadah!
If you like you can stir through a handful of chopped fresh parsley or simply scatter some on top for garnish. With or without, this is going to taste amazing – don’t worry!
This is a properly delicious dinner that is insanely easy to make and even easier to clean up after. There is literally nothing to not love about this recipe! I implore you to give it a try for yourself and see!
