Hello everyone! :D

In this tutorial I'll show you how to make your own old-fashioned wine glass holder made out a piece of old wooden barrel. One day I was messing around in the woodshed and I found an old disassembled barre. I remembered that earlier before I went in woodshed, I was in the basement "testing" quality of wines and liquors with my friend. When someone else came to join us I had to go all the way up (by stairs, they were like a mile long) in the house for more glasses and then head back to the basement. It was just too exhausting. So, that's how the idea was born, why not to have all of the glasses in your basement efficiently sorted out and when you need one you just have to make one or eventually two steps to get it. After that, my friend and I decided to make a rustic glass holder.

So, lets begin.

Materials

You'll need:

-One plank from wooden barrel

-Drill

-drill bits of different diameters

-Reciprocating saw

-sanding paper

-screws

Drilling

Mark the middle of plank and put one glass on the top, calculate your distance and spacing between holes and glasses from the wall. Our plank has 9 holes, every hole is 9 cm away.

Mounting Part

You have to put your shell somehow on the wall, so lets make that part.
Mounting is on principle that screw the screw in the wall but passing through the shell, it all can be seen in pictures.

Finishing It Up

Now cut slots where you will be putting glasses, they can be U or V shaped, it's on you, I cut U shapes because they're easier. When you cut all these, sand it well, and after that you can varnish it up if you want to.

And There You Have It

There you have nice decorative wine glass holder. If you have any more questions or something, let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for watching and feel free to vote if you liked that project, and if you liked that one, you'll maybe like some other instructables which I made.

Cheers!
