Old T-Shirts Into Drawstring Bags

Have you ever had old t-shirts lying around that you don't wear anymore? A shirt with a design that faded away but with good fabric? Look no further! With just amateur sewing skills (or glue gun skills) and a meter of rope, you can turn that t-shirt into a drawstring bag

Cut the bottom hem until you get the length you desire. If your shirt still has print on it, you may want to cut the hem an inch below the design.

Afterwards, sew at the green line.

Snip the neckline vertically at the two blue points in the first picture.

Thread the rope through the neckline. The blue directions indicate rope 1 and the red directions indicate rope 2.

Knot the ends of rope 1 together then do the same thing for rope 2. You can burn the rope ends to stop them from fraying.

Turn your shirt inside out. At the green lines, cut your shirt. You'll end up with two small holes

Thread rope 1 inside the shirt and outside the hole on the left (follow the blue line).

Thread rope 2 inside the shirt and outside the hole on the right (follow the red line).

Sew the green lines as tightly as you can, but not completely shut, so you can adjust the rope when needed.

Turn your drawstring bag back inside out and there you have it! Your old shirt into a new drawstring bag.

Don't know how to sew and can't be bothered to learn? You can replace every "sew" in this instructable with "glue gun" and you're good to go!

Note that this method may not be as sturdy as the sewing method.
