I recently went to a reenactment of the civil war. It was cool, I really enjoyed it. But they were selling something that kind of botherd me. Pencils for $2. So now now I will show you how to make the same pencil, for a lot less money. In fact, about 25 of these pencils for (At the most) $3

Materials

Pleasr be careful with knives. If you didnt know this already, they are very sharp. So, always have your parent/guardian do this for you. If you are responsible enough, or an adult, always cut away from you, and dont have any skin near the blade when doing this.

Shave

Shave off the paint of the pencil, while holding the knife at a 45° angle, or less. Also, cut off the metal part with the eraser on it.

Shave More

Shave off the rest of the paint until you have something that looks like this.

Optional

You can rub some vegetable oil on this pencil, and sharpen it to make it work and to make the pencil look good. Preferably, use a knife to sharpen it.

Congratulations! you now know how to make an old fashion pencil, from a pencil. And if you don't have a knife, pencils, or veggie oil, no worries. You can buy all of that from the dollar store.
