Oats Seekh Kabab / Oats Kabab

Oats have numerous health benefits.They are rich in Vitamins, Fiber and antioxidants
They control blood sugar levels,Prevent constipation.
Oats individually have bland taste. By combining oats with vegetables and spices we can prepare delicious kabab which is very healthy.

Supplies

  • One cup roasted oats
  • Two mashed potatoes
  • One grated carrot
  • One chopped onion
  • One cup boiled sweet corn
  • Two green chillies
  • Half teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • One teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • One teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • Half teaspoon Chat masala powder
  • Half teaspoon dry methi leaves
  • Salt as per taste
  • Pinch of Turmeric powder
  • Few Coriander leaves
  • Skewer sticks

Boil Potatoes and Sweet Corn

Boil two potatoes and smash them and also boil
cup of sweet corn and keep ready.

Blend Sweet Corn to Paste

Transfer Boiled sweet corn to blender.Add very little water and blend to paste.

Blend Roasted Oats

Take One cup of roasted oats. Transfer half cup oats to blender and blend to powder.
We have to blend only half cup of roasted oats and remaining half cup we will add directly later.

Add Grated Carrot and Sweet Corn Paste

Take smashed potatoes in a bowl .Add one grated carrot and blended sweet corn paste.

Add Oats

Add normal oats which are not blended and also blended oats powder.
Mix everything

Add Onions and Green Chillies

Next add one finely chopped onion and 2 chopped green chillies

Add Spices

Add half teaspoon red chilli powder,One teaspoon Coriander powder and half a teaspoon chat masala powder.

Add Remaining Spices

Add teaspoon Garam masala powder,Salt as per taste and Pinch of Turmeric powder.

Add Dry Methi Leaves

Add about half a teaspoon dry methi leaves( Fenugreek leaves)

Mix Everything

Finally mix everything and add few chopped Coriander leaves.

Wrap Mixture to Skewers

Now grease your hands with little oil.Take small portion of the prepared mixture and wrap it on skewers.

Make All Purpose Flour Paste

Take little All purpose flour in a bowl.Add little water and make a paste.

Brush All Purpose Flour Paste on to Kababs

Coat With Oats

Coat the kababs with oats.

Shallow Fry on Pan

Add little oil on the pan and place the skewed kababs. Fry them until they turn crisp and brown.
