OBJECT COUNTER

In this project we will see a very easy object counter to make with few electronic components, it can sense any type of metallic objects or other materials.

We can see the schematic diagram of the project to be carried out with very few electronic components. We have all the values ​​of each electronic component to develop it ourselves, perhaps on a breadboard or a PCB.

Particularly, the infrared sensor is an optoelectronic device capable of measuring the infrared electromagnetic radiation of bodies in its field of view. All bodies emit a certain amount of radiation, this is invisible to our eyes but not to these electronic devices, since they are in the range of the spectrum just below visible light.

Its operation is simple: when an obstacle is placed in front of the sensor, the infrared signal is reflected on the receiver. When this happens, the OUT output pin is set low (0), and the module's green LED lights up, indicating that an obstacle has been detected.

The range of the sensor is from 2 to 30 cm, which can be adjusted via the potentiometer on the board.
