Nutella Filled Chocolate Chip Cookies

Maybe chocolate chips just aren't enough in your cookies. Maybe you just need that extra umph. Well, I've got it! With this specially made recipe, adjusted to give you a melt in the middle nutella centre and a chewy and crispy cookie, one just isn't enough. Here is how to make Nutella Filled Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Ingredients:
220g butter
200g chocolate chips
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
480g self rasiing flour
1/4tsp baking powder
1/4tsp baking soda
180g packed brown sugar
60g granulated sugar
2 eggs
Nutella
The Butter Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, add in your cubed butter. It must be softened, at room temperature. Using a wooden spoon, stir the vigorously until light and fluffy.
Add in the Sugars

Next, add in both kinds of sugar. They will give your cookie a soft and chewy texture, as well as adding sweetness and more flavour. Mix them in to combine, then add in your vanilla extract.
Bakers Note: The brown sugar should be packed.
Creating the Dough

Once you have a nice light, golden brown mixture like this, add in your two eggs one at a time, stirring between each addition.
Now mix together your baking powder and baking soda into your flour.
Add your flour mixture into the butter mixture and stir until you get a sticky cookie dough.
Fold in your chocolate chips, and this is optional but I used half chocolate chips and half chocolate chunks.
Creating the Cookie Balls!

I feel like, for even dough balls you should use a cookie scoop (icecream scoop) but if you don't have one use a heaping table spoon.
Scoop your dough onto a cookie tray, space them about 1 1/2 inch apart because they will spread. In the centre of each cookie dough ball, make a well. Into that well add in about a teaspoon of nutella. Grab some more cookie dough and cover the nutella so none can be seen.
Bake in an oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
Bakers Note: It is best to work one cookie at a time, just to ensure you have enough dough to cover each of them.
You're Done!

Leave to cool or eat warm and serve with a glass of milk! YUM. They are so delicious and tasty! Not to mention easy. That melt in the middle centre is just glorious... so why not give it a try?
