I want to show you in this instructable - how to mount a NodeMCU V2 (ESP8266) module in a cabinet. This can be very useful for many professional applications like door access systems, smarthomes etc. There are many different ESP8266 modules on the market. The programming is nearly the same for all, but the pinout is different. We have create a special enclosure set for the NodeMCU V2 Amica.
On the following pages you will find a detailed description about the assembly of the NodeMCU Amica and our cap rail enclosure kit for cabinet mount.

Materials:
- NodeMCU V2 Amica
- Arduibox NodeMCU enclosure kit
- additional electronic parts of your choice
- thin solder wire
Tools:
- soldering iron with small tip
- side cutting pliersneedle nose pliers
- medium cross slot screw driver
Prepare the Terminal Blocks

Find the terminal blocks, they're grey or blue and come in 2-pin and 3-pin shapes. We'll need to slide two 3-pin blocks together.
Place and Solder Terminal Blocks

We've to put the blocks into the proto plate. Make sure you place them so that the openends are facing out as shown
Place and Solder the Diode

bend the pins of the diode D2. Place the diode onto the pcb and solder the pins.
Prepare the Female Headers

Depending from the situation on the market we sell the kits with longer female header. You have to cut these headers to 15 pins
Prepare the NodeMCU

Plug both female headers onto the male headers of the NodeMCU module
Place and Solder the NodeMCU

Remove the NodeMCU Module

Solder the Jumper J1

beside the blue terminal block is a soldering jumper. You have to solder a bridge on this jumper if you want to connect later a external 5V power supply
Mount the Pcb Into the Bottom Shell

Mount the 2 Holders for the Din Rail

Please take care to mount the holder from the inner channel to the outside!
Mount the NodeMCU Again and the Top Shell
