No-shoes Dancemat
Hello, and welcome to my first instructable, which will teach you how to make a dancemat using the MaKeyMaKey. You'll need: A MaKeyMaKey, a music producing device, four sheets of coroflute, Duct tape, measuring equipment, a pencil, a craft knife, foil, wire, crocodile clips and a sheet of card. This is the first non-prototype, but it works, so please enjoy it.
Various Bits Before We Start:
Before you start, it is of great importance to get ready. I'd suggest slipping some music on, maybe some Disasterpeace or Renard or something. Or maybe even some of my music, terrabyte_aura! Yeah!

Arrange and Stick Together the Base.
Get your four sheets of coroflute and stick them together with duct tape. Flip the board over!
Measure It Up.
Draw the following on the board:
Diagonals of each piece of coroflute so that they form a diamond,
A diamond in the center of any size so that the person has somewhere to stand, and,
A space for the pads. Each pad has to be at least 10cm away from the others to avoid problems.

Cut Along the Diagonals.
Cut off the triangles. These will be used later.
Create the Connections.
This makes it easier to use with shorter cables, by providing an easy connection point. Wire foil from where the pads will be to one side so that short wires can still fit. Pritt Stick works fantatically here (surprisingly).
Create the Pads.
The pads are created by glueing the foil to the coroflute. Pretty simple, huh?
Strengthen the Pads.
A good way to strengthen them is to cover the sides with duct tape.
Create a Foil Armband.
This allows you to complete the circuit and trigger a key. This is made by wrapping a strip of card in foil. You must wear it tightly in order for it to work.
Connect It Up.
Connect the MaKeyMaKey to each of the connectors created in step 5. Connect ground to the armband and the directional keys to each pad. You need a really long wire for the armband, otherwise you won't be able to use the pads properly. If you are using wires without crocodile clips, it would be a good idea to solder the clips on both ends (if you're connecting to the directional keys) or one end if you're using wasdf.
BONUS: Create an 'enter' or 'space' Button
Use another pad or even a ball of foil to create a button which can be plugged into the space or enter parts of the MaKeyMaKey.
BONUS: Create a Second Pad.
Using the triangles from earlier you can arrange and create a second pad! Just arrange the triangles, stick them together, measure like in step 3 and then skip to step 5. You can use wasdf for these pads.
The Most Important Step: Test!
Plug it in and play a game! Personally I'd go for Pulsen but others will suffice :)
