No More Table Lamp!?

Everybody who owns a table lamp will sure feel that sometime the lamp gets in a way because its add crowdness to your work place.

However,...

This instructable will show you how to remove your table lamp and replace with a LED strip light at your work table.

What You'll Need

Parts :

  1. LED strip light (plug N play)
  2. A work table with an overhead cabinet

Completion Time : 20 minutes

Here is my work table with the table lamp is on. I will change that in a moment.

The Strip

Firstly, I unpack the LED strips.

In this 'ible, I'll just use two strips, few connectors, a jumper cable and an adapter.

The Assembly

I join the strip with the connector so that its can connect to another strip (make sure the positive terminal is joined with the same positive terminal indicates on the each strip's end).

The Jumper

A jumper cable can also be used to connect to another strip.

The triangle emboss on the jumper indicates the positive terminal.

The Adapter

The adapter has the same head as the jumper, so the setup is the same as before.

I finished the setup of the strips and then installed its under the overhead cabinet.

I switch on the light and confidently remove the table lamp out of sight.

My work table looks nice!

The light illuminate beautifully.
