New Ball Machine Element - Two Ball Tower

10 September 2025

Hey! I've finally made the instructables for my two ball tower element. An early version of this element was first seen in my ball machine Shadow. Now I've made a more reliable version that uses a different mechanism. It's made up of modules, so it can be made as high as you want. The higher it is, the better it looks in my opinion :)

I hope you all like it!

P.S. If you like it enough I will also make some instructions for the entry path, seen in the video !

Base of the Tower

Lets start with the base. The right bottom connector consists of two blue connectors, maybe a little hard to see.

Actuator

This actuator will capture and release the ball in the middle. Make sure it can move smoothly, without any friction. You can already test it by putting in a ball and pushing down on the white rod! If its not smooth, try swapping out the red and green connectors.

Counter Weight

This counterweight was the hardest part to design. This ensures the velocity of the middle ball won't open the gates on its own. This was a major problem on the previous versions. In the final picture you can see the tan connector is resting on the blue rod of the actuator. If you then push on the white rod of the actuator, the weight should go up and down if you did it correctly :)

First Track

This is the track the second ball will be going on.

More Track With Walls

Some more track.

Smooth Corners

These corners will make the ball go faster and prevent it from leaving the track.

Final Step: Connecting Modules

You're almost done! Here you see two modules put together. You've just built one module. If you want to make it higher, which I do recommend, go back to the beginning of the instructions and build some more. Go as far as you want, build it as high as possible! :)
