Nespresso Machine Button Repair.

I have had for several years (and it has been quite used) a Krups nespresso machine.

It's type XN2105 as seen in the picture. On/Off button in the back/right side and 2 buttons in the front for 2 preset coffee sizes. The one on the right side (used and abused) started malfunctioning until it stoped working.

I have seen some repairs on the web but I this is the way I fixed mine. It worked (and still works) just fine.

I'm not going to explain the disassembly process of the machine because it is already well documented on the web.

Supplies

CA glue

A bit of aluminium foil

A toothpick

A small cutting tool

Take Out the Button

Always disconnect the plug from the socket before doing any repairs to apliances.

After opening the machine, locate the malfunctioning button. It is formed by a small PCB with an LED and a rubber cover (which it is what you see on the front of the machine). Disassemble it.

Fix It!

Take the rubber part and put some CA glue in the dark area using a toothpick. Take the foil, place on top of it and press for a while. This should glue them toghether... Cut the excess foil from the rubber, leaving it only covering the 2 dark half circles (by now they are silver- see last picture).

Assemble the button's parts back toghether and then the machine itself.

Done! Enjoy your coffee again.
