Needle Felted Snowmen Earrings

Split your carded wool

Initially split into 2 equal sections (photo 1)

Then split each of those 2 sections into 2 as well - (photo 2)

You will need to have a 2 slightly bigger sections for the bodies, and 2 slightly smaller sections for the heads.

1. Roll the strip of carded wool into a sausage shape
2. Fold it over to begin creating a ball.
3. Use a multi needle tool for fast felting, or a single needle is fine - whichever you are more comfortable with!
4. Keep stabbing until you've created a ball for the body - It doesn't need to be super firm at this point as you will be working on it further later on
5. Do the same for the second body

Use the technique in step 2 to make 2 smaller balls which will be the heads

1. Split the tencel fibres into 2 piles.
2. Then split each of the 2 piles into a further 2 piles - you will need a smaller amount for the heads, and a larger amount for the bodies
3. Fluff up the tencel - just use your fingers to pull apart the fibres and make it into a cloud of fibre, and place the body ball in the middle of the cloud

1. Using the tencel, roughly wrap it around the ball
2. Felt it into place
3. Do the same for both bodies and both heads

1. Take care as this is working at a slight angle
2. Felt the head to the body

Split the dark fibre into sections so you can give each snowman 2 eyes, 3 buttons and a mouth

Take a tiny amount of wool and roll it into a ball.

Felt 3 in a row onto your bodies

Split the orange top into 2 sections

Create a triangle / cone shape for the carrot.

Felt the carrot into the middle of the face.

Attach all the features to both of your snowmen.

Ensure the hooks are pointing to the book as you'll want the snowfolk to face the front while being worn

Using some of the looser fibres, gently take them onto your needle, place over the loop on the earrings and felt into place.

Keep doing so and then felt around the top of the ball on earring hook to ensure is stays in place

You have now created a fun pair of snowmen earrings!
