Necklace Name-tags

These are name-tags for non-work events, which can be worn around the neck.

Supplies

Adobe Illustrator

Lasercutter

3mm MDF

(elastic) cord

spray paint

In Adobe illustrator, choose font and type text.
Switch to black arrow tool and select text. Convert to outline (in the Fonts menu).

Select a single letter using the white arrow tool and move it to overlap with the next letter.

From the Windows menu, select the pathfinder menu.
Select the overlapping letters and click 'unite' on the pathfinder menu.

Change outline to red, and fill to 'no color'.

use lasercutter to cut out, spray paint, attach cord. Done.
