Personalize Christmas Stockings

Are you looking for a way to make things festive this Holiday season without breaking the bank? Here's a nice way to personalize a store-bought Christmas stocking.
Supplies

You will need a store bought felt stocking, a piece of felt in contrasting color, matching thread, sewing needle, measuring tape, straight pins and scissors.
Cut Out Letters

Measure across the top of your stocking and figure how much room you have to work with, allow 1/4" between each letter. My letters were about 2" tall. I cut out all capital letters because that was easier for me. Pin letters onto stocking.
Sew Letters Onto Stocking

Hand stitch each letter onto the stocking, removing pins as you sew.
Finished Christmas Stocking

I sewed the names onto the stockings while I was watching TV, so it went pretty fast. I think they turned out rather nicely. My Grandchildren approved so that's all that matters.
