I will show how to make a press on nail using acyrlic. I do nails daily and its a hobby I’ve enjoyed learning!

Supplies

You will need press on nail tips, monomer (nail liquid), acrylic brush size 12s, liner design brush, dynamic nail supply acrylic (173), UV light/curer, top coat, purple and white gel polish, pigment powder, Makartt rhinestone glue, holographic rhinestones, press on nail stand, electronic file(optional but recommended), and a hand file 100/180 grit.

Prep

Start by putting your press on nail on the stand and trim to desired length. Then file it to desired shape. This helps application and filing less difficult.

Application

Using your acrylic, monomer, and size 12s brush, apply the acrylic on the tip. Make sure to take your time so it wont be lumpy. The smoothest application, reduces time filing.

Shaping

Using your E-file and hand file, shape your nail and make it smooth. The E-file will help with getting rid of harsh lines from the hand file.

Gel French Tip

using your liner brush and your desired gel color, you will draw a v from the side walls of the nail with the gel polish. Then you will curve the ends to get that french tip.

Aura Effect

Then you will use a puffy brush to apply the pigment powder onto the french tip. I applied it to two corners and blended it out. Then get you rhinestone glue ready.

3d Line Design

Next using the same liner brush that you used to draw the french tip (cleaned) , you want to place some rhinestone glue on the brush and start from the top side of the french tip and drag the product lightly to the middle bottom of the nail. This will cause that 3d effect.

Rhinestones

Then you want to place rhinestone glue at the top of the nail and stick on the rhinestones of the desired size and cure it for 30 seconds.

Top Coat

At last, place the topcoat onto the nail (not on rhinestones), and cure it for 60 seconds. You’re done!
