Gather Supplies

  • Nail Polish
  • 25MM Glass Gem (I used flat gems like this or domes like this)
  • Silver Pendant Tray (to fit 25MM Gem)
  • Poster Tack
  • E6000 Glue
  • Rubbing Alcohol (not shown)

Tip: Use Poster Tack to Hold Gem

Use your poster tack to make a holder for your gem! Roll it into a ball and squish one side of your gem into the tack so you can work with clean hands!

Take some rubbing alcohol and wipe down the side facing you to remove fingerprints.

Paint!

Paint the side that isn't in the tack with the color of your choice. Let dry fully. Repeat til decided opaqueness.

Glue

Take your E6000 glue and put a small amount into the bottom of the pendant tray. Take your gem out of your tack and put the PAINTED side into the glue, so the glass side is facing you. Use your rubbing alcohol to get rid of any tack prints on the new side. Let the glue dry.

Add a Cord

Add a cord and go a-wearing!

Tip: Brides

Hey brides, you out there?! Have a favorite polish you're wearing for that big day? Coordinate it with a nail polish gem! You'll add to the loveliness that you'll be spreading.
