NICE Portrait
sometimes we need a portrait with our favorite word hanging in our room with its catchy word and color that fits with us and makes us express ourselves.
lets make our special portrait
Supplies
1) thick cardboard or somewhat thin rectangular wood
2) color paintings
3) color brush
4) nails
5) thick thread
6) pencil
7) paper
6) glitter (optional)
OPTIONAL: If you want to add lights, you could use either
leds, like christmas tree lights or you could customize it by yourself by:
3v battery, wires, leds (electronics), on/off switch
Color the Background
start by bringing the cardboard box or the wooden rectangle and start by Coloring The Background with the color you want. in my case I used black. and let it dry.
After drying, you can add other colors and start drawing. if you cannot draw well you can draw randomly like I did. I just want you to please be careful. if the background is light color the drawing must be dark and vice versa. and then let it dry
Set the Nail Places
While waiting for the cardboard to dry, start by drawing the word you want in your portrait on the paper and draw it with the pencil, I used the word "NICE", and then start placing the place of the nails. It does not have to be drawn perfectly, it just needs to set the place of nails.
after setting the nail places in the paper take the paper and put it on your portrait and then hummer the nails in their places then remove the paper. if you cannot remove the paper, remove the nails then remove the paper and then put the nails in their places or in the hole you make in the portrait.
Add the Threads
In this step, you will add the thread and tie the thread to the nails. it is better to make a loop in every nail the thread passes through the nail. when you finish you will notice the word you chose is already shown.
optional:
after you finish you can add some glue on the portrait and then add some glitter
OPTIONAL: ADD LEDS
If you have some LEDS like the Christmas tree lights you can add some holes in the portrait and then add the LEDS or put them around the portrait.
If you don't have any or you want to customize your LEDS, bring some LEDS (electronics), 3V battery with battery holder, an on/off switch, and some wires. connect the wires with the LEDs, the on/off switch, and the battery. make sure it is working before adding this circuit to the portrait. when it is working fine, make a place for the LEDs by making holes and then add the LEDs in the back of the portrait. place the on/off switch and the battery on the side of the portrait so you can change the battery and switch on/off easily
note: you don't need to use the same wire as I do, any wire would be fine if you use as mine you should know you need to peel off the outer shell because it is covered with an insulating material. I suggest not peeling it all off, just the part you want to connect to the other electronics.
