I figure out how to make zero-waste spiral pants easily with a tailored fit! I am so excited I have to share these tips and tricks with you! This is an exciting new sew challenge filled with easy ways to create a self-drafted version of these do it yourself self pants that fit perfectly! This to me is the easiest way to draft with a tailored fitted pair of zero waste pants.

When I first saw these pants, I was fascinated with them. I had no idea what zero-waste sewing was all about. I went on a rabbit hole chasing after all and any details relating to how to make these pants. Zero waste design uses all the fabric without any leftover waste which is a double win for the environment!

How is this possible? Does zero waste spiral trousers fit short people? I was determined to figure it out. Yes, I'm super nerdy. I was especially skeptical about the fit after doing the first paper model. When I finally think I got all the numbers and modifications figured out I just didn’t think I could pull off a crotch curve that was critical for these pants.

But I figured, what could I lose if I tried these with some really old sheets? Let's give this a whirl and twirl to see how this thing will work out! I was so shocked by the results! Give it a try!
